Arturo Curà was born in Parma, Italy on November 15, 1940. He grew up in the mountains close to the city. Since childhood he showed much interest in the arts (in all their forms): he drew, painted and sang. He also learned how to play the piano. After spending seven years attending a very rigid and conservative school in Bassano Del Grappa, he went back home to enroll in high school and became a school teacher. He graduated and started working at the elementary school in Berceto, Italy. During those years he wrote, directed and produced three movies: Le Nuvole. Passione, Morte E Resurrezione A Berceto. L'Artista. He also, at the same time, tours with his rock band I Dinosauri (The Dinosaurs) almost until the year of his marriage (1973). The Dinosaurs became fairly successful, but then decided to split. He kept producing hundreds of art works (sculptures and paintings) and executed a fresco in Sanit Marc Cathedral in Bedonia, Italy. At the beginning of the 80s he worked in radio, where he produced his own on-air show (Abracadabra), writing and recording hundreds of voice overs.
Soon after, he wrote, composed directed and designed two musicals: Robe De L'etru Mondu and Bes-Cie. Both became really successful and critically acclaimed. During the 1980s he jumped into the television world, directing a big number of commercials and incredibly creative TV programs. Simultaneously, he generated an extensive list of documentaries of all kinds (from political to environment and art related). Then, in 1986 and 1987 he created the stage version of his "Passione, Morte E Resurrezione" (about fifteen years after his film version in which all the parts were played by his elementary school students). The second edition will be filmed by Rai Tre, one of the most important TV channels in the nation.
In the years 2000s he worked on Eravamo Donne Ribelli and Nema Problema. To this day, he keeps painting and showing his artworks all over the world.
